About the Role
1. Provide companionship for elderly and disabled clients served.
2. Promote a harmonious, pleasant and engaging environment for elderly and disabled clients.
3. Prepare and serve meals and/or snacks.
4. Provide grooming and dressing guidance.
5. Light housekeeping to include: wiping surfaces, light dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping.
6. Provide laundry and linen services to include washing, ironing and folding clothes.
7. Provide shopping service to clients to include grocery and clothes shopping.
8. Provide incidental transportation for clients which includes visits to doctor appointments, homes of
friends and family members, stores and other locations essential for the client’s quality of living.
9. Provide assistance and planning of client’s recreational activities and events.
10. May remind client of medications.


Requirements

Eighteen (18) years of age
-
Be able to provide covered Companion services according to the person’s Companion Service plan.

Meets the training requirements in accordance with state and federal laws.
-
Must be able to read and write in English.
